E. L. Slater is a bilingual Spanish licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey and Hawaii. Presently, she is the director of a mental health agency located in Hudson County, New Jersey that provides culturally responsive psychotherapy that addresses mental health as well as social justice, respect, dignity, compassion, and wellness for individuals, children, adolescents, and their families.

Her scholarly specialty is clinical advocacy in private practice. She is a published author in the Clinical Social Work Journal dealing with the intersections of mental health and social justice. E.
